MORE than 2,000 people descended on Little Wittenham yesterday for the World Pooh Sticks Championships.
They watched competitors in the 28th annual contest at Days Lock. Team Kelly won the team race, while Saffron Sollitt, nine, from Wantage, won the individual race.
Naomi Barnes, 37, from Bicester, vice president of the Rotary Club of Oxford Spires, said: “We got lots of attention in our outfits.”
