A man was assaulted while walking home early this morning.
A man barged into the 22-year-old victim, then punched him repeatedly in the face, police said.
The incident happened at about 3.36am as the man was walking home from the town centre along Bridge Street, Banbury, towards Middleton Road.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious bruising to both eyes and possible facial fractures.
