Summertown Cobras climbed out of the bottom two of the U9 Red League for the first time since October after beating Crowmarsh 6-2, their third win in four. In sunny Cuttleslow Park, the opening half was even, with Rodolfo Niels-Gervasio opening the score for the home side and Harrison Todd equalising for the visitors. In the second half, the Cobras midfield got their passing game going and made it 5-1, with two goals from Michael Denvir, another one from Rodolfo Niels-Gervasio and one from Hamish Harrison-Cushing. The second match was a tight and physical affair, with both teams working very hard. Kian Meskini put Crowmarsh ahead early on and the visitors kept pressing for more. An own goal made it 1-1. Both teams saw spectacular long-range efforts end against the crossbar. Final score: Summertown Cobras 6-2 Crowmarsh. Goalscorers for Cobras: Rodolfo Niels-Gervasio (2), Michael Denvir (2), Hamish Harrison-Cushing, and an own goal; for Crowmarsh: Harrison Todd and Kian Meskini.
