CHOCAHOLICS get ready – Oxford’s first Chocolate Festival is rolling into town.
From 10am next Saturday, Broad Street will be filled with stalls, demonstrations and free tasters for chocolate-lovers.
Event director Yael Rose said: “We have about 20 stands and some of the best master chocolatiers in the country coming along. This is something we have wanted to do in Oxford for a while now.”
Stalls will feature an array of goodies, from chocolate brownies and pretzels to cakes and chocolate bars from around the world.
There will also be the chance to try traditional Mexican dishes like chilli con carne made with chocolate.
The festival has been running twice a year in London and Brighton since 2009, but this is its first journey to another city, with backing from Oxford City Council.
The festival runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. For more details, visit festivalchocolate.co.uk
