Sophie Harvey has been so touched by the strength of love between her younger sister and her fiancé that she has secretly nominated the couple to receive the Oxford Mail £12,000 dream wedding.

Kate Harvey and Jamie Leach, from Botley, Oxford, have been together for more than five years and became engaged after a romantic proposal in a horse-drawn carriage in a snowy Central Park in New York.

Sophie said: “From then on my little sister’s eyes have been set alight with sparkles and I hope that sparkle never fades.”
