LADS and dads teamed up for a fun day of challenges at The Oxford Academy.
Boys at the Sandy Lane, Littlemore, school brought in their dads, uncles, brothers and other role models to take part in activities including clearing ‘mines’ and assembling an arrangement of plumbing against the clock.
Among those taking part on Saturday were principal Mike Reading and his son Nathaniel, above, taking part in the mines task.
Mr Reading said: “This was about giving dads and their lads time together, and showing the profound impact a dad, or father figure, has on the type of person that boy will become.
“It was about providing a context for fathers and sons to show affection and love in a very masculine way, in having fun and getting mucky.”
