Today we tell the story of a family who have been forced to return to the UK after fleeing tsunami-hit Japan.
Dominic Jones and his wife and children arrived in Headington after escaping from the devastation to stay with family.
Their tale is one which thousands of ex-pats will have experienced.
But it also gives us a small flavour of the terrible experience for tens of thousands of Japanese people displaced by the tragedy.
At the weekend, the city will host a number of fundraising events for victims. We hope the city will show its compassion.
