It was fantastic to hear the medals earned by First World War hero Ralph Sheldon have been returned to his family where they belong.
After the war, he worked his way up to one of the highest positions in the Metropolitan police force, was responsible for the safety of the Royal Family, and was honoured for that work as well.
Our generation has much to thank Mr Sheldon for. The thief that stole those medals and then discarded them as worthless is just that, worthless.
