TWO burglars forced their way into a home before pinning a woman to the floor in Littlemore yesterday.
They burst into the house in Bocklesbury Road shortly after 7.30am, pushing past a 15-year-old girl and the 21-year-old woman. The attackers covered the victims’ mouths and the woman was forced to the floor.
The men fled empty-handed towards Rose Hill when a neighbour knocked on the front door after hearing screams.
Police last night appealed for witnesses. The first man was black, in his mid 20s, 5ft 8ins with a slim build. The second was 5ft 8ins, of mixed race and in his early 20s.
Both spoke with southern accents and were wearing clean white ‘painter’ dungarees and black tops underneath.
Acting Det Insp Steve Raffield, investigating, said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack which has left the victims very distressed.
“I can reassure people this is an isolated incident and we are working hard to catch those responsible.”
Witnesses should call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
