A man who was convicted of people-trafficking after failing to show up for his trial has appeared in court.
Anastassios Papas, 42, formerly of Iffley Road, was convicted of trafficking women for sexual exploitation, conspiracy to traffic women for sexual exploitation and controlling prostitution for gain, and converting £67,075 of criminal property.
Papas was arrested in Staines earlier this month.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday he admitted failing to surrender to bail.
He will be sentenced at a later date alongside Graham Cochrane, 49, of Bicester, who was convicted of conspiracy to traffic women and trafficking women into the UK for sexual exploitation. Both were remanded in custody.
