Sir – Having had experience as a parent of three children at Church of England state schools — because they were the local schools — I know well how such schools encourage and indoctrinate Christian beliefs. Nevertheless, I would be happy to take up Bob Forster’s kind invitation, through you, to take me on a tour of another local church school, if he would like to do that. I look forward to seeing that there is, as he claims, no religious indoctrination there. And no prayers either?
I also look forward to hearing why, if Church of England schools are supported by the state, other religious faith schools should not be similarly state supported, and how it is that no divisive religious indoctrination takes place there either.
