Economics consultancy Abacus International is expanding in Bicester. The firm has taken a five-year lease on 5,059 sq ft of space at the Talisman Business Centre (pictured), which will be in addition to its existing premises in the town’s Market Square.
The firm, founded in 1995, has always been located in Bicester and now employs over 40 staff servicing blue chip global companies.
Simon Howard, Abacus International managing director, said: “Abacus started as a dining room table business 15 years ago.
“Moving from a small office unit in Deans Court to Market Square was a big step more than ten years ago. Significant recruitment in 2010 has led to the need to move again and we look forward with excitement to the next stage of our company growth.”
The new headquarters comprises the first floor of number six Talisman Business Centre and is mostly open plan offices.
Carter Jonas represented head lessee Philips, and Fryer Commercial represented Abacus.
Jon Silversides of agent Carter Jonas added: “This is an encouraging local letting as it comes at a time when some local companies are considering moving out of Bicester, due to lack of suitable alternatives.”
The ground floor of the building is also available and Carter Jonas is seeing strong interest.
