THEY were born together, went to school together and worked together.
Now Oxford triplets Sandra Cox, and Irene and Derek Stansfield have celebrated their 60th birthday together.
They were born in 1951 at the Churchill Hospital and attended New Marston First School and Northway Secondary Modern.
In the 1960s, they even got jobs together at Oxford University Press, with Sandra and Irene working in the bookbinding department and Derek in the printing rooms.
The three, who still all live in and around Oxford, celebrated their 60th on Tuesday at the Ampleforth Arms in Headington.
Irene, from Copse Lane, Marston, said: “We have always been really close and still are now.
“We have thought things at the same time, or worn the same clothes without thinking about it. I think we’re psychic, it is very spooky.”
Mrs Cox, who works at New College, said: “We always have celebrations together, at Christmas and birthdays.”
Former Pressed Steel worker Derek, who now lives in Littleworth, Wheatley, added: “We’ve never known any different from being triplets, but we have always got on all right.”
