Police are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack at Radley College.
Police said some time between Tuesday and Wednesday a Takuti 175 digger was set ablaze in a deliberate attack. The digger was being rented by the college for ground maintenance purposes from Speedcut contractors.
PC Leigh Blackford said: “We believe the offender or offenders have entered the college grounds and used material from recycling bins to set fire to the digger.
“It was an extremely valuable piece of kit, costing nearly £40,000.
"The managing director of Speedcut Contractors and I are very keen to track down the perpetrators of this mindless attack, and so he is offering £1,000 reward for information leading to their arrest and conviction.”
