IT’s unlikely to be very comfortable and probably wouldn’t offer much protection in the freezing temperatures.
But this full size dress – made entirely from wrapping paper – has helped bring festive cheer to shoppers in Headington.
It was designed and made by Terrie Reynolds, a volunteer at the Helen and Douglas House charity shop in Windmill Road.
Mrs Reynolds, from Sandford, said the the dress cost £2.50 to make.
She said: “I’m a tailoress by trade so I’m always messing about making something.
“It took me about three hours to make, but I love doing it so it was good fun.”
The charity has been offering respite care for children and young adults at the hospice in Magdalen Road, East Oxford, since 1982.
Fellow volunteer Neil Jordan-Fisher said: “Everyone who comes in here has been commenting about how good it looks.”
