BADVENT is almost drawing to a close, but the Oxford Mail still needs to unveil who is behind the window of day 23.
This suspect fancied doing a bit of DIY before Christmas so thought he would help himself to three trolleys of goods from B&Q in Banbury along with two friends.
In total the trio made off with £3,000 worth of supplies after cutting the wire fence at the back of the garden centre in Marley Way on Thursday, November 11 and passing the goods through to a waiting vehicle.
Pc Deborah Clements said: “It is believed the men got away with around £3,000 worth of goods from the store.
“After they had browsed the store and loaded up their trolleys with items they should have paid for.
“They walked to the garden centre area of the shop, cut through a fence and loaded up a white Ford Galaxy with their goods.
“I appeal to anyone who recognises this man pushing the trolley to contact police.
“It is believed the same three men returned to the store on November 17 to try their luck again, loading up another trolley with items from the shelves, but failed to steal anything.
“I am sure this man won’t be expecting his face to show up on the Badvent calendar this Christmas.
“Let’s hope he wasn’t planning on giving the stolen goods to people as Christmas presents.”
Anyone with information should call Pc Clements on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5555111.
