I would like to share a rather surreal moment with readers from the horror that was the A34 on Saturday. Our family was travelling from Gloucestershire to celebrate my granddaughter’s 12th birthday with us.
After several stationary hours, hunger began to rear its head.
The only food on board was Rebecca’s birthday cake, so this was cut up with an obsolete credit card and consumed. I gather they even sang Happy Birthday.
Not everyone can say they celebrated their birthday on the A34!
