Snow has started falling again in Oxfordshire with the county still recovering from Saturday’s whiteout.
Yesterday, the Met Office said 10cm of snow could fall on the county this afternoon after the transport system was brought to a standstill on Saturday morning by 17cm of snow.
Met Office spokesman Helen Ticehurst said earlier today that snow affecting other parts of the South East was not likely to come north of the M4 but the forecast was not correct.
She added: “Tomorrow there will be heavy cloud but no snow followed by cloudy conditions and sunny spells on Wednesday.”
Temperatures in the county are expected reach a maximum of -2 degrees C today, falling to -5 degrees C tonight, according to the Met Office.
Temperatures throughout Tuesday during the day will be -1 degrees C and zero degrees C on Wednesday.
