OXFORDSHIRE was waking to a very chilly start this morning.
Overnight there were temperatures of -15C in the south of the county at Berinsfield and Benson.
And in the city this morning, it was still at -10C.
The roads do not appear to have any major problems, although motorists are being warned to still drive with extreme caution.
The M40 was slow wouthbound between junction 9 for Bicester and junction 8 for Oxford.
The main problem so far is the A43 between the A5 for Towcester and junction 10 for the M40, where conditions are described as just passable and hazardous.
The road is down to just one lane.
Police advise drivers not use lane 2 to overtake as road surface is too dangerous.
The city's roads were some of the worst with the snow compacted down to ice. The city-end of Botley Road requires caution.
More updates will be posted on oxfordmail.co.uk as we get them throughout the snowy weather this week.
