BUS and train journeys across Oxfordshire are being disrupted by the heavy snowfall.
Bus company Stagecoach in Oxford has suspended all its services in the city due to the weather conditions.
A statement issued by the company said:“We are monitoring the situation closely, and are working to restore services where possible as soon as possible.”
Oxford Bus Company bus drivers are also struggling to cope.
Spokesman Phil Ashworth said: “Services are still running, but road conditions are extremely difficult.
“Our espress and the airline coach services to London and the airports are still running but only serving Gloucester Green and Thornhill.”
He added that the city 4A is unable to serve Elms Rise and is currently terminating at Elms Parade The city 4C is unable to serve Dean Court and is currently terminating at Elms Parade. There is no service for Rose Hill Oval.
The city 8, 9, and 15 services are suspended, while the park and ride 400 is serving Thornhill, then travelling directly to Oxford city centre Brookesbus U1 is unable to serve Harcourt Hill and is terminating at Elms Parade.
The company is also unable to serve Wheatley village, and there are further updates on the website oxfordbus.co.uk Train services are also being disrupted.
A statement on First Great Western’s website said: “Train services at Oxford have been disrupted due to poor weather conditions.
“Engineers have worked as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Delays of up to 10 minutes may still occur.”
