The M40 in Oxfordshire has reopened following a collision today in which a woman died.
The collision, between a goods vehicle, a blue Mazda MX5 convertible and a silver Audi A4, happened between junctions 10 and 9 southbound at 10.50am today.
The driver of the Mazda, a woman in her fifties from the West Midlands, died at the scene from her injuries.
The M40 was closed at junction 10 to allow Thames Valley Police officers to examine the scene and recover the vehicles. It reopened after 4pm.
Sgt Bill Sykes, of the Roads Policing Unit based at Abingdon, is appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
