THE woman killed in an axe attack at her home in Banbury is believed to be 43-year-old Sally Cox, a source connected to the family has said.
Her son Martin Faulkner, who was in his early 20s, was named by the source as being the man killed at the house in Mold Crescent, Banbury, today.
Mrs Cox's 19-year-old daughter is understood to have suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
A teenage girl did not suffer any injuries.
A 43-year-old man who has not been named but is understood to be Mrs Cox's former partner is being questioned by detectives over the double murder.
