A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following the double murder in Banbury today.
Police said the man had been arrested in Swindon within the past 90 minutes.
A spokesman said: "He is now in police custody and will be interviewed by officers from Thames Valley Police."
The arrest comes after the death of a woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s in Mold Crescent, Banbury, today.
Det Ch Insp Pete Vigurs, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “Firstly I would like to reassure the community. We do not believe this is a random attack and think the victims knew their killer.
“Another woman and a girl were in the property at the time of the incident and they have now been taken to a place of safety. Officers will look to speak with them later today."
