J.K. on song as Keighery keeps them out
Kidlington had their keeper Joe Keighery to thank for a string of fine saves as they edged a hard-fought match against a lively Littlemore outfit.
The visitors had the majority of possession and shots on goal in the first game, but still lost it 3-0 as the home team converted their chances. Ben Owen scored the first with a stooping header. Soon after he added another with a clinical finish before Ben Stewart got the third with a fine effort from distance half way through the first half. Home defenders Will Baker and Fraser Day did well but keeper Keighery was the star, particularly in the second half, and but for him Kidlington may well have lost the tie.
Visiting keeper Josh Selby stood out in the second game, brilliantly tipping over a fine effort from distance from Marcus Tranter and stopping a great shot from Ethan Couling. After a goalless first half, Taylor Turton put Littlemore ahead, but Kidlington equalised soon afterwards through a powerful shot from Ethan Couling on the edge of the area. Daniel Panavia then scored for Littlemore to pull back the aggregate score to 4-2 but the home defence stood strong and Kidlington had done enough to ensure overall victory.
