Kennington looked in full control of this match from start to finish. Against an under strength Summertown side. Even so Cobra’s held firm for most of the first match until some absolutely superb passing moves from Kennington’s midfield opened up Cobra’s defence for a couple of really excellent goals. A spirited Cobras side kept battling and only some great defending from Kennington kept the clean sheet. The first match finished 4 goals to nil.
The second match continued much in the same vane as the first. Again it was Kennington’s midfield that continued to dominate the match creating lots of chances. As was the case in the first match however Kennington’s defence had to work hard to keep another clean sheet as Cobras pressed. When Cobras did eventually find a way through they found Kennington’s goalkeeper in unbeatable form.
The second match finished 6 goals to nil giving an aggregate 10-0 victory to Kennington Athletic.
