A company which specialises in developing the next generation of rechargeable batteries has expanded out of Culham Innovation Centre.
Oxis Energy has moved to new laboratories, with dry room facilities, at Culham Science Centre.
Technology developed by the company is designed to improve the performance of rechargeable batteries and will help develop greener methods of transport.
Chief executive Huw Hampson-Jones said: “Oxis is moving its development and prototype activity towards the commercial production of next generation batteries to be inserted into electric two-wheeled vehicles and electric vehicles.
“The first version of the commercial products will be made in Culham, and then in a new plant.”
Emma Jewson, of agents Kemp & Kemp, added: “Oxis is a great example of the type of pioneering science and technology company that has benefited from the wide range of accommodation and industry support offered at Culham Science Centre.”
