Entrepreneurs starting small businesses need office space but often cannot commit to long-term leases. In recognition of this, a suite of small, furnished offices has become available at the Oxford Science Park which are available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Each facility at The Hub as it is known, can accommodate up to two people with access to telephone, wireless Internet and reception facilities along with 24-hour onsite security and the full range of amenities on the park.
Shannon Blaszko, manager of the Magdalen Innovation Centre, where the Hub is located said: “The Hub provides a cost-effective alternative for business people who have been working from home, but now need a more permanent location.
“Here they can base their company and present a professional reflection of their business to potential customers and associates.
“We have also had interest from established companies, including satellite operations of larger companies.”
“Also, having other similar companies around to promote the exchange of ideas and business experience, should encourage their progress and growth.”
