A CHURCH in Cowley is offering refugees and asylum seekers the chance to get new clothes in time for Christmas.
The Word Fountain Christian Ministries will hold an extra session of its clothing project, which hands out shoes, warm clothes and other outfits to those in need, between 11am and 3pm tomorrow. The church in Hollow Way, Cowley, has been running the weekly project in conjunction with the Red Cross since May.
Pastor Dupe Adefala said all who were in genuine need were welcome.
She added: “It is a chance for the homeless, refugees and asylum seekers, those who are in need, to get good, warm clothes in time for Christmas.
“The clothes are brand new, so there is no association with being handed cast-offs.
“We hope that people who are in genuine need will come with a pure heart to make the most of this.”
