IN response to the letter from Myrna Chave in Surrey (ViewPoints, November 16), I endorse her appeal to readers to collect used postage stamps on behalf of Guide Dogs and her thanks to those who have sent them to her.
However, on behalf of Guide Dogs in Oxfordshire, the local branch also collects stamps for recycling to raise money to breed and train guide dogs and as we have collection points in Oxford, Kidlington, Abingdon and Witney, we can save you the postage.
You can find our details on the Guide Dog website or you can contact me for your nearest volunteer drop-off point.
KATH MULLIGAN, (Chairman, Guide Dogs Oxford & District Branch), Leiden Road, Oxford I have been collecting used stamps for many years, these are shared between the Children’s Society and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Once again I am appealing to your readers to save all their used stamps not only throughout the year but especially at Christmas time. It would be appreciated if the stamps were posted direct to myself.
