Sir – The illustration which you published last week, showing the proposed addition to the Wesley Memorial Church in New Inn Hall Street, will enable your readers to consider whether planning permission should have been given.
The glazed boxes on either side of the porch of the Church Hall will be completely out of keeping with the church, which is a listed building, and within the conservation area. Their purpose, according to the application, is merely for ‘display’, which is scarcely a justification for such eyesores.
