OXFORDSHIRE’s choirs are being urged to add to the festive cheer at Oxford United’s game against Macclesfield on December 28.
Subsidised tickets for the match are being sold by Bridle Insurance, as part of their Christmas Bonanza.
Spokesman Darren Nangle said: “The Bridle Christmas Bonanza is really taking shape and should be very exciting, with Christmas tree stilt walkers, brass and silver bands, roller skating Christmas puddings and footballs, human statues, jazz bands and fire eaters already confirmed.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Oxfordshire community for really getting behind the event and a big thank you to the Oxford Mail who have been fantastic.
“To complement our already full day we are hoping for a local choir to add that extra Christmas cheer to the event. If you belong to a choir and would like to get involved, please contact us.”
There is also the chance for a pupil to win £100 and pick up £1,000 for their school when they enter a special schools competition. And the corporate box is being given to a local charitable organisation to give a group of lucky children the luxury of watching the match in the warm.
The special offer for low-cost tickets ends at 5pm on Friday.
Any choir who would like to perform on the day, should call Darren Nangle on 01993 772957 or email dnangle@bridleinsurance.co.uk To enter the school competition, call Barry Butler on 01993 772957.
