FOUR people needed hospital treatment after a fight involving 20 people outside an Abingdon pub.
Police said the fight started at about midnight on Friday after a drum and bass night at the Ox pub in Oxford Road.
Officers said there was no fighting in the pub, but an argument broke out as revellers left.
Two men suffered face and head injuries after being struck by a bottle, one man needed surgery after his face was stamped on and a fourth man was kicked and punched.
Three were taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford and the other to Abingdon Community Hospital.
Det Con John Ablett, of Abingdon CID, said: “This was an isolated incident which seems to have been caused by comments made between people as they were leaving a drum and bass night at the Ox pub.
“Four people suffered nasty injuries in the resulting disorder, but we believe more people were assaulted who have not yet come forward. No arrests have been made as yet. I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the disorder to come forward.”
Anyone with information should call DC Ablett on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
