THE fourth Christmas criminal to star in our Badvent Callendar is a burglar who does not like to play by the rules.
Headington man Shohaib Dawood, of Grays Road, was sentenced to two years in prison for a burglary in June 2007.
Also known as Mutley, he was initially freed on a home detention curfew order in April the following year, but failed to comply with the conditions, and was ordered back to prison.
Eventually, in May this year, he was found and returned to prison after an extended holiday in Canada.
He spent a month behind bars before he was released again, on licence in June.
But the Probation Service have not seen or heard from him since October 19.
He was recalled to prison 10 days later.
Police said he has many contacts and family in Oxford and someone must know where he is.
Pc Kerri Wilkinson said: “He also has associates in the Bradford area and it may be he is travelling between the two cities.
"I would like to speak to anyone who has seen Dawood or who knows of his whereabouts.
“He was supposed to comply with a number of easy to manage conditions on his release from prison, part of this was meeting face-to-face regularly with his parole officer and to live at his home address.
“As he has failed to do this he has now been recalled.”
Anyone with information about Shohaib Dawood should call Pc Wilkinson on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
