On Sunday 28 November, Kidlington Concert Brass were awarded both first prize and the best Trombone section awards at the Leicestershire Brass Band Association Contest. This is the first win for the band under their new Musical Director Duncan Wilson, who is very proud of the bands achievement.
The band also performed as part of the Remembrance Sunday events in Kidlington including a concert which raised over £500 for the Royal British Legion at Exeter Hall.
The band will be heading to Skegness to take part in the Butlins Brass Band Championship in January and will be hoping for similar success on this occasion. In the mean time the band will be working hard over the Christmas period, appearing across the city and at their own concert at St Mary's Chruch at 7:30pm on 12 December.
The band are always looking for good quality players, who are prepared to commit to the band and would welcome any enquiries via their website www.kidlingtonconcertbrass.org.uk which contains more information about the band and upcoming events.
