THE latest man on our Badvent Calendar is suspected of luring two reporters into his home and holding them at knifepoint.
James Williams is behind the second window of the Oxford Mail’s Badvent Calendar which is bringing the county’s wanted suspects under the spotlight.
Every day until Christmas we will unveil another suspect police are trying to round up before Santa arrives.
Williams, 25, posed as a known drug dealer in South Wales in 2008 and invited two journalists to visit him, but he stole £1,000 and their mobiles after brandishing a blade.
He first came to the attention of Thames Valley Police in 2004, and more recently in August this year, following his release from prison for kidnapping and robbery offences.
Officers believe he has links to the city, particularly Blackbird Leys. He also goes by the names John Williams, Andy Williams and James Robertson.
Pc Kerri Wilkinson said: “The offence he committed was very serious and there are a number of conditions that he had to comply with when he was released from prison, which he is failing to do.
“Williams was last in contact with the probation service on Thursday, November 4.
“Since then, he has stopped making contact and is not answering his phone or responding to texts and because of this he has been recalled to prison.”
