Police today appealed for witnesses after a cyclist died following a collision on the A34 near Oxford last night.
The cyclist was on the southbound carriageway of the A34, a quarter of a mile from the Pear Tree interchange, when he was involved in a collision with a green/silver Ford Fiesta at about 7pm.
The cyclist, a 59-year-old man, died at the scene of the collision from his injuries.
PC Dave Mitchell, of the Road Death Investigation Unit based in Bicester, is appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or who saw a cyclist on the A34 prior to this collision to call him via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
