THEATRE-GOERS will be letting down their hair this Christmas with a fairy tale being staged at the Mini factory in Cowley.
Creation Theatre has unveiled its latest production, Rapunzel or the Magic Pig, being staged in the 100-year-old Mirror Tent at the factory car park in Cowley, until January 15.
Blood-thirsty villains, a prince, a heroine, as well as a very magical pig and puppets will delight audiences in the run-up to Christmas and into the New Year. Director Charlotte Conquest said: “Rapunzel is a fascinating fairy story full of insights into our darkest fears and joys.
“It shows us parents the dangers of trying to hold on to our children for too long, how we have to let go to enable them to grow and mature properly.
“I’m particularly excited to be working with both actors and puppets to tell this magical story and show how Rapunzel grows from baby through childhood to become a woman.”
