OXFORD firemen made a habit of collecting trophies.
We published one picture where they displayed three awards (Memory Lane, July 12).
In this one, their tally was seven, as they posed for the cameraman, with their haul, at the fire station in Gloucester Green. The picture, dating from the Second World War, comes from Theresa Prickett, of Elsfield Road, Old Marston – both she and her husband Hector worked for the brigade.
