Police today issued a renewed appeal for witnesses following the death of a 48-year-old pedestrian in Banbury.

A Toyota Corolla was travelling along Gatteridge Street, heading towards Upper Windsor Street, when it was in collision with a woman who was lying down in the road, at 6.34pm on November 13.

The woman suffered severe injuries in the collision and was taken to Horton General Hospital for treatment but she later died. The Toyota driver was unhurt.

Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, particularly a woman who helped at the scene with first aid who may have been a nurse.
