Ardington U11's were away to Summertown Galaxy at the weekend who were in a rich vein of form. Cutteslowe park was the venue and the game certainly lived up to the close encounter that was predicted.

The first half saw Ardington score through ALEX KAY and KIEREN KIRBY. Ardington also missed a penalty. The second half was a completely different story, not only did Summertown score 2 quick goals to level the tie but they also scored a third with 20 minutes remaining as Ardington looked in total disarray at times especially when defending corners.

The work rate continued to be at the highest tempo with JOE HERBERT and JAKE DENTON working hard up front and through their hard chasing came the equaliser from KEIRAN KIRBY only for Summertown to again take the lead from another corner. At 4- 3 down Ardington then seemed to keep their shape and their reward came after some good possession with JAKE DENTON scoring a deserved second equaliser.

A further two penalties were awarded to Ardington which KIEREN KIRBY and CALLUM BRISTOW converted. It was the pace of Kieren who Summertown could not deal with which lead to the penalties and with the reintroduction of Matheo Charrier proved decisive as he laid on the perfect square ball from the left to enabled Kieren to get his fourth and Ardingtons seventh goal. A great result of a 7-4 victory for Ardington against a very good Summertown side who will give all A league teams a difficult time.
