Police are appealing for information after thieves stole electrical cabling worth more than £20,000 in a series of break-ins.
Thieves have broken into the quarry of Smith and Sons (Bletchington), in Ducklington, three times in the past ten days.
The first break-in was overnight between November 10 and November 11, the second break-in occurred between November 12 and November 15 and the third break-in occurred between November 20 and November 22.
PC Conor Breen said: “We believe that the offences are occurring overnight and judging by the size of the cabling that has been stolen, it will have required some sort of lorry or large van to transport it and at least two people to load it on.
“I would urge anyone who might have information about this incident, or anyone who has seen any suspicious vehicles in the area around the quarry, to come forward and speak to me as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Breen via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
