FOOTBALLERS observed a minute’s silence to mark the death of a man killed on a busy Oxfordshire road.
Robert ‘Bob’ Heasman died in hospital following an incident on the A420 near Faringdon on November 12.
Players and officials at Faringdon Town FC, where Mr Heasman’s father Roy is the long-standing president, paid their respects on Saturday.
Club secretary Simon Harrington said: “The football club would like to pass on its condolences to the Heasman family at this difficult time.”
