Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted by the same man twice in one week in Carterton.
The 23-year-old woman was first assaulted as she walked along Faulder Avenue in the early hours of November 12.
The second assault happened in as she was walking along Lord Close at about 4am on Wednesday. On both occasions the woman has been punched in the face by the unknown man.
The man is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, slim and clean shaven with short brown hair. On both occasions he was wearing a thin, black waterproof jacket.
Det Sgt Dick White said: “Then victim is obviously upset and concerned by what has happened and we want to find this man as soon as possible.
“I would like to hear from anyone with information about either of these incidents, or anyone who recognises the description of this man.”
