Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Oxford in which a cyclsit was injured.
At about 5.50pm on Friday, a cyclist was riding along Iffley Road, towards Rose Hill, when a car, believed to be a red SEAT, turned left across her path, causing the cyclist to fall off.
She sustained a fracture to a vertebra in her back and reported the incident to police the following day after she had left hospital.
PC Mark Gulliford, from Abingdon Roads Policing base, said: “The car driver did stop at the time and drove the cyclist home before giving her phone number.
"We have called the number, but the person who answered the phone denies all knowledge of the incident.
“The driver was black and told the cyclist she was originally from Jamaica.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or knows who was involved.”
Anyone with any information should contact PC Gulliford via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
