Police are appealing for information after four public houses were broken into across Oxfordshire overnight on Wednesday, November 10.
Thieves broke into the Carpenters Arms, in Middle Barton, by forcing open the front window. The landlord was woken shortly before 4am by the noise and saw four men leaving in balaclavas. Cash was stolen from the till and safe.
The Plough, at Finstock, was also broken into through a window. The offenders found the keys to the safe and stole cash.
In the Vale, The Star in Watery Lane, Sparsholt, was broken into and the burglars forced open a fruit machine and stole cash.
The Fox and Hounds pub in High Street, Uffington, was the fourth pub to be broken into. Burglars stole cigarettes and cash.
PC Fran Griffin said: “We believe that all four break-ins are connected and were carried out by the same people.
“I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of any of the four pubs who may have seen what happened, or anyone with any information about these break-ins.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Griffin via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
