AN Oxfordshire Army officer is today expected to receive one of the military’s top honours.
Former Abingdon School head boy Captain Robin Bourne-Taylor, whose family home is in Steeple Aston, near Bicester, will be awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross, the highest award for courage after the Victoria Cross, for his service in Afghanistan.
Captain Bourne-Taylor, 29, of the Life Guards, will receive the medal at Windsor Castle today.
