Collisions on the A40 and M40 caused traffic problems today.
Police were called to the eastbound carriageway of the A40 Witney bypass, near the Oxford Hill slip road, at 10.50am, after a Renault Laguna car, a DAF lorry and a Mercedes van collided.
A three-month-old baby and a two-year-old girl travelling in the car were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The girl had facial injuries, but they were not serious. The baby was unhurt.
At 1pm, paramedics were called to the southbound carriageway of the M40, near junction nine at Wendlebury, where a Renault van, a Suzuki Alto car and a Ford Transit van had collided. The Renault’s driver was taken to the JR suffering from back pain.
