I SAT in the reception area of the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford on Thursday morning, waiting for the lady I had taken there for an appointment.
As it got nearer to 11am, I was expecting an announcement to say there would be a two-minute silence for Armistice Day, but nothing happened.
How disgusting is that? There should be a two-minute silence everywhere, in hospitals as well as public places.
People were walking backwards and forwards with no thought for what the day stands for.
I sat quietly for the two minutes with my own thoughts of all the servicemen and women who fight for this country.
