Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Banbury where a 48-year-old woman was killed.
At about 6.30pm yesterday, a silver Toyota Corolla collided with the 48-year-old pedestrian from the Banbury area in Gatteridge Street, near to the junction with Britannia Road.
The woman was taken to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury for treatment, where she died shortly after arriving.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured in the incident and is helping officers with their investigations.
No one has been arrested in connection with this incident at this time.
Officers from the Bicester Roads Policing team carried out an investigation at the scene, resulting in the closure of Gatteridge Street and Britannia Road for three hours.
