Marston Saints and Didcot Town Youth B battled to a 1-1 draw. Marston Saints started the better, and spent much of the first half on the attack. Didcot though defended well and in numbers, and restricted Saints to few opportunities. Jack O'Brien was involved in Saints best chances hitting the bar from a tight angle at the end of a good run, and drawing a great save from goalkeeper Matthew Haynes.
Saints made three changes at half time, and perhaps this disrupted their rythym, with Didcot having much more of the game in the second half. Didcot scored early in the half with Ben Betteridge knocking the ball home, following a fine save from Daniel Upham. Daniel was called upon to make a number of further saves to keep his side in the game. Marston Saints finally scored towards the end of the game, and did require a little luck. Awadh Mohamed drove a cross into the area, and the unfortunate Tom Williams deflected the ball into his own net.
Over the course of the full game, a draw was perhaps the right result
